GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF OUR CENTER

To provide an environment which will develop the whole child; the emotional, physical, cognitive, and social domains.

To encourage creativity in the child. We will introduce different art media, dramatic play, and movement activities to enhance their creativity.

We will strive to help each child develop a strong self image and positive self esteem. Each child is unique and special and shall be respected for the person they are. With this in mind, the child will be encouraged to engage in developmentally appropriate discovery areas which shall offer a balance of success and challenge to each child, thus enhancing their self image and promoting good feelings about themselves.

To guide each child with love, respect and dignity.

A non-sexist, culturally diverse environment will be promoted in this center.

Through a variety of spaces and equipment, both indoor and outdoor, children will have a wide range of opportunities to develop large and small muscle coordination.

DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

Our child care hours of service are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.We are staffed by experienced early childhood educators who carefully plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs which focus on learning through exploration and discovery.

The program breakdown is as follows:

• Infant Room (6 weeks-12 months of age)
• Infant Toddler Room (12-24 months of age)
• Transition Room (2-3 years of age)
• Preschool Room (3-5 years of age)

Program descriptions are posted in each perspective room.

TUITION ARRANGEMENTS

Payment of tuition is due in advance. Parents may choose yearly, quarterly, monthly or weekly method of payment. First Step will accommodate the payment system most convenient to parents. For those who wish to pay weekly; tuition is due by Monday of each week for the current week. For those who attend part time, the fees are due on the first day of attendance each week. If payment is to be on a monthly basis, tuition for each month is payable by the first calendar day of each month.

Should tuition become one week delinquent, your child must be withdrawn until the balance is paid in full and arrangements have been made with the director.

Note: A $15 charge will be added to an account for any returned check.
